Strategically situated on the northern shores of Lake Victoria close to the White Nile about 81 km east of Kampala city is Jinja; the Adventure Capital Of East Africa and one of the top getaway destinations in Uganda. There are numerous tourist activities to do when you tour Jinja but in this itinerary, we have chosen a few popular ones that can fit into a 2 days tour.

Jinja Tour Itinerary
Highlights – En-route visit to Sezibwa falls, Mabira forest walk, Source of Nile Tour & White water rafting on the Nile.
Day 1- Transfer from Kampala to Jinja ( Enroute visits to Sezibwa Falls & Mabira Forest)
Our driver will pick you up as early as 6 am for a transfer to Jinja with an en-route stop-over at the Sezibwa falls where you will learn about the cultural importance of these falls to the Basoga and also take scenic pictures.
We then proceed to Mabira forest– Uganda’s largest natural rainforest, the road trip will last about only 30 minutes. A guided nature walk through the Mabira forest offers you opportunities to encounter a variety of primates, birds and tree species. Proceed to Jinja passing via extensive tea & sugar plantations in Lugazi.
You will arrive in Jinja just in time for lunch at the hotel or lodge. In the afternoon you can opt to go boat ride to the Source of the Nile or visit Samuka Island for birding. You will then be driven back to your hotel after one of these activities for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2 – Full Day White Water Rafting Adventure
After an early morning breakfast, our driver will transfer you to Nalubale Rafters or Adrift for an exciting open-raft adventure exploration on the mighty Nile. The River Nile grade 5 rapids offer an adrenaline-pumping but safe rafting taking you through ten rapids with a stopover at Malibu Island for refreshments and for some the finish line.
Enjoy a buffet & beer after you make it through the 10 rapids, prepare to be driven back to your hotel or guest house and then check out. Transfer back to Kampala ending the adventure tour in Jinja.
