What To Present To Us
Ensure you have an original and valid driver license, passport/ Country ID and if you plan on crossing borders , we shall require you come with your International driver license. You will be requested to send scanned copies of all the above IDs to be kept in our car rental client records for security reasons.
Rental car Pick-up
You can pick up your car at our offices in Kampala city or pick it up from the airport, Rent Car Uganda requires your flight details so the car is ready for you as soon as you arrive. Car Rental contract
Remember to always carefully read your Uganda car rental contract before driving off. Make sure you adhere to the terms and conditions of the contract as any breach will lead to extra unwanted expenses. We shall require a security bond of US$ 500 left at the counter only to be returned when rental duration is over.
Insurance
Ask the Rent Car Uganda reservations personnel about the type of insurance we offer , we offer out rental cars covering comprehensive insurance meaning any damages on the car that requires repairs of more than US$ 400 will be paid by you and any less than that, the company got you covered
Check car
Always make sure you check the rental thoroughly well before driving off to avoid unwanted expenses after your return the rental. Check the car and show the Rent Car Uganda staff the problem before you even seat inside. Important items to check on a car include cleanliness, indicators, windscreen wipers, brakes & accelerators, Air conditioner, scratches / dents and also last service date.
Returning rental car
To avoid any extra charges, always make sure you return your rental car on time as per contract and if you wish to extend your Uganda car rental deal, you always have to notify the staff before the final rental day. Check the car for any new damages before handing it over and don’t forget to return the car with the right amount of fuel found in. Don’t worry about cleaning the car, Rent Car Uganda will do all that after the road trip.
